Program Descriptions

Drop in Hockey

Drop in Hockey is for players who are 19+ and looking for some fun, yet competitive hockey. A maximum of 20 players and 2 goalies will be permitted for each session. Full equipment must be worn and good sportsmanship is also a requirement. Underage players are welcome to participate however, an underage waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian and additional insurance must be purchased for $10. All participants must stop by the skate shop, sign in, and pay in full prior to hitting the ice. Drop in Hockey cost is $9.00 including GST

Stick and Puck Ages 5-12

New to Prospera Centre’s public programs this year, Stick and Puck for players ages 5-12 provides younger players the opportunity to hone their skills in a less intimidating environment. Full gear must be worn. No scrimmages, formal instruction, goalies, pylons or related objects permitted on any stick & puck session. All participants must stop by the skate shop, sign in, and pay in full prior to hitting the ice. Stick and Puck Ages 5-12 cost is $9.00 including GST

Stick and Puck All Ages

Stick & Puck sessions are for participants looking to practice their passing, shooting, puck control and skating in a casual environment.  No scrimmages, formal instruction, goalies, pylons or related objects permitted on any stick & puck session. Helmets and gloves are mandatory, bring your own pucks. Children 12 and under must wear full gear. All participants must stop by the skate shop, sign in, and pay in full prior to hitting the ice. Stick and Puck All Ages cost is $9.00 including GST

Parent and Tot

Parents & children under five years of age.  A special time for parents and tots.  Kids can bring their own hockey sticks.  Helmets are mandatory for the children and highly recommended for the adult. All participants must stop by the skate shop, sign in, and pay in full prior to hitting the ice. Parent and Tot cost is $8.15 including GST

Public Skating

Public skating is an open ice session for participants. All public skate participants 12 and under must wear a helmet. Don’t have a helmet? No problem, we have a limited number for rental. All participants must stop by the skate shop, sign in, and pay in full prior to hitting the ice.
