Prospera Centre offers a variety of lessons and camps. Whether you’re 3 years old and just stepping onto the ice for the first time or if you’ve been playing for years, this is where to spend your time refining your skills!
Hockey Fundamentals
The Hockey Fundamentals camp is designed for the beginner player who wants to improve their overall skills, as well as for those who want to learn the team skills that are required to transition into a game situation. This camp will focus on proper technique in powerskating, stopping, puck control, and rules of the game. All drills are taught at a basic level, as a building block to ensure players develop strong habits. At the end of this camp there will be a mini-camp cup game for our campers to show off their skills.

Goalies Only Camp
In the Goalies Only Camp, Goalies are taught to develop good work habits, improve reaction time, strength, flexibility, quickness, and agility. Instructors will teach goalies techniques to shut down breakaways, pass outs, and wraparounds, along with detailed instruction on rebound control, recovery skills, and playing the puck. This camp will focus on emphasizing the basic fundamental skills necessary to develop as a complete all-around goalie. Note: Full goalie gear is required.

Elite Conditioning and Skills
This camp is designed to improve the advanced player’s ability to perform on the ice. The intense drills will focus on developing proper technique, strength, conditioning, effective skating, and endurance. Players will also learn checking strategies – a skill essential for all ages. Players will engage in challenging conditioning drills, nutritional tips and goal setting to ensure that they are ready for the upcoming season. Instructors will ensure that players will be ready for the season.

Positional Play and Puck Control Clinic

Pre-Season Conditioning Camp
This camp focuses on preparatory conditioning (including general strength, aerobic and flexibility exercises) prior to hockey season. In this camp, our instructors provide campers with guidelines and information on proper nutrition, training exercises and advanced techniques in skating, passing, puck control, and game-specific strategies. This camp is intended to ensure the campers are ready for the upcoming hockey season.
