Prospera Centre is offering a variety of fun filled camps! 

Learn to Skate Mini Camp

Following the curriculum of our popular Skating Academy, this camp will introduce the basics of skating through fun games and activities, while in a positive and supportive environment.  While on ice, our instructors will break down the proper technique into the simplest form so that campers understand and enjoy the sport of skating. While off-ice, our campers will enjoy arts, crafts, games and activities.

 Hockey Fundamentals 

The Hockey Fundamentals camp is designed for the beginner player who wants to improve their overall skills, as well as for those who want to learn the team skills that are required to transition into a game situation. This camp will focus on proper technique in powerskating, stopping, puck control, and rules of the game.  All drills are taught at a basic level, as a building block to ensure players develop strong habits. At the end of this camp there will be a mini-camp cup game for our campers to show off their skills.

 Limit of 2 goalies per camp. Goalies are expected to skate, remember the best goalies are the best skaters!

Powerskating and Hockey Skills

Power is a critical component of all skating skills. This camp will focus on the proper technique and “how” to practice each skill, including, backward skating, tight turns, and forward/backward crossovers. This camp will also teach players proper technique in the areas of puck control (dribbling the puck), passing and receiving. Our instructors will challenge each player in a positive environment and be taught the basic skills while improving each camper’s confidence on and off the ice.

 Limit of 2 goalies per camp. Goalies are expected to skate, remember the best goalies are the best skaters!
