SPRING / SUMMER OPPORTUNITY
POSITION: MULTI-SPORT INSTRUCTORS
LOCATION: Prospera Centre, Chilliwack

We presently have an exciting opportunity for:
MULTI SPORT INSTRUCTORS (Spring/Summer Term)
We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, hard working and dedicated Instructors for the spring/summer
term of 2012. Experience working in a sport or recreation environment such as summer camps or
hockey/skating programs and experience working with youth is preferred.
Start Date: TBD
Job Type: Part-time, Full-time, Casual
SCOPE:
Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, instructors are responsible for the daily program
facilitation and supervision of all summer camps. These individuals must be extremely outgoing and
thoroughly enjoy interacting with young children. Problem-solving and strong communication skills are a
must. Furthermore, instructors should have the ability to multi-task to help meet the needs of all
participants.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES AND DUTIES:
• Bring an energetic attitude to camp, setting the stage for all participants, and leading by example
• Supervision and facilitation of all camp-related activities, ensuring a safe environment and quality
delivery, including camp check-in / pick-up and lunch supervision
• Be a positive role model, fostering strong relationships with campers and parents
• Provide continuous feedback and communication to the Program Coordinator to ensure success.
• Responsible for other duties agreed upon from time to time with the Program Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Coaching and/or teaching skills with youth
• Knowledge of sports and games
• Basic First Aid & CPR training

persons working with and/or associating with youth and vulnerable persons.
